'The commodity of escapism' is an album that has been in the works for three years, but has cuts and samples from material going back as far as 20 years of Steve Satori music.

The title of the album refers to the philosophy that much of everything we do today is about escaping the time we are in right now. Every media has become a commodity of escapism, in which conglomerates are building the businesses that many of us use every day.

This album is exploring very different styles of beat, bass and synthesizer-driven tracks, inspired by the dusty sound of worn tape and the spacious landscapes of multi-layered reverb. It's hard to describe this album in simple terms, other than saying that it's an experience well-suited for the avid album-listener.
